Domesticated horses, statistically, are the most abused animal in America today.

Due to the high cost of daily maintenance, the amount of time and space horses occupy often results in abandonment and/or extreme conditions leading to curelty and abuse.

How many horses does Hopeful Hooves care for?
Currently, we have 17 horses, about a dozen dogs and many cats.
How long has Hopeful Hooves been in existence?
We started this journey in 1998.
What is the criteria for donating a horse?
We accept horses which are:
  • Healthy
  • at least "Green broke"
  • not wild
  • have a currect Health certificate
  • have a record of shots/medications
  • presented with a legal transfer of ownership to Hopeful Hooves.
